Nobody quite knows exactly how much Welsh gold is in every Clogau design. The second-generation family company has kept this secret, although they have said the percentage of gold used in each piece has always been the same. While this secrecy could raise suspicion among other brands, the Edinburgh Assay Office audits Clogau’s system annually, and a separate certificate of assurance is issued each year.
