Men's ‘Pogue’ Solar Speedtimer Chronograph Watch

The SSC947P1 pays tribute to a landmark moment in watchmaking history, inspired by the Seiko Speedtimer of 1969 — the world’s first automatic chronograph equipped with both a vertical clutch and column wheel. This heritage-led design celebrates Seiko’s pioneering role in professional timekeeping while bringing the iconic Speedtimer aesthetic into the modern era.

Under a curved sapphire crystal glass, the vivid yellow dial echoes the look of the original 6139 model, complemented by a bright red chronograph seconds hand and red sub-dial minute hand at 6 o’clock. Wide vintage-style indices with 12 Lumibrite plots ensure excellent legibility in low-light conditions. Staying true to the original, the blue and red aluminium bezel features a tachymeter, while a chronometer seconds scale runs along the inner dial ring. A tapered bracelet completes the classic yet sporty profile.

Modern performance meets historic design with the solar-powered V192 chronograph calibre, charging efficiently from both natural and artificial light. Offering accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and a 6-month power reserve on a full charge, the SSC947P1 delivers dependable everyday wear.
