Exclusively available in Europe, the ‘Mount Iwate Autumn Dusk’ elegantly blends the design essence of the brand’s iconic 44GS collection with the technical expertise of a modern manual-winding 3 hand movement, reflecting the unique Japanese sense of beauty with a signature interplay of light and shadow.

This limited-edition piece features a captivating green textured dial, showcasing the well-known “Mount Iwate” pattern. The dial’s fine ridges are inspired by the view of the mountain peak from the Shizukuishi Grand Seiko studio where this timepiece is crafted; evoking the craggy mountain vista. Its iridescent sheen makes it mesmerising when it catches the light – this particular watch is said to evoke the atmosphere of Mount Iwate, just before the dusk of the clear Autumn air.

The ‘Mount Iwate Autumn Dawn’ reflects the Grand Seiko design principles cemented by Taro Tanaka back in 1967. It incorporates his Grammar of Design, created to differentiate the ‘look’ of a Grand Seiko; to add glow and light to the watch on the wrist – known for its sharp edges, large zaratsu polished surfaces, razor-like flanks, unobtrusive bezel, and highly contrasting dial elements. These signature design features are presented in a compact case, measuring 36.5mm in diameter and 11.5mm in depth.

Not merely aesthetically appealing, the SBGW303G is designed to be a practical and versatile watch for everyday wear with water resistance of 100 metres, powered by the in-house built 9S64 movement, operating smoothly and accurately at a frequency of 4Hz. With a substantial power reserve of 72 hours, this watch ensures reliable performance with an accuracy range of +5 to -3 seconds per day.

To ensure a comfortable and secure fit, the watch comes with a bracelet featuring a three-fold clasp and a push-button release as well as an extra strap for a different look.
This limited edition of only 400 pieces will be exclusively available in Europe; each watch is individually engraved with its limited number on the case back.
