The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection draws its inspiration from Jules Verne's renowned adventure novel. The Classique Fountain Pen, adorned in dark blue precious resin, recounts the epic journey of Mr. Fogg and Passepartout. Embarking on the final leg from Yokohama back to London via the United States, the duo traverses the vast American continent by train. Delve into the intricate details – a train elegantly lasered on the cap, a safety chain pattern on the cone, mirroring a pivotal moment when Passepartout detaches the train from the locomotive to save the crew who was attacked by Sioux. The cap's design captures pressure valves and the billowing smoke of the locomotive, while the clip boasts a red lacquered heart card suit, symbolizing the union between Phileas Fogg and Princess Aouda. Additionally, card suits represent Fogg's daring wager to complete the journey in a mere 80 days. The cap top bears the embossed timeline of the journey – 36 days from Yokohama to London, culminating in the grand total of 80 days around the world. Elevating this writing instrument is a hand-crafted 14K gold nib marked with 14/11 and 21/12 – a reminder of Mr. Fogg's departure from Yokohama on November 14 and his ambitious plan to return to the London club by December 21 to win the wager. It is also adorned with a depiction of a hot air balloon, reference to Jules Verne's first adventure novel.
