Cosmopolitan, smart, and full of contemporary flair, the Metro Neomatik Update 1165 is an unmistakable expression of modern NOMOS design. Created in collaboration with Mark Braun, it retains the clean lines and minimalist elegance of Metro while introducing a bold innovation: the patented NOMOS ring date in neon orange. Encircling the dial, this striking yet refined feature gives the watch a dynamic edge while remaining unmistakably Metro. With a diameter of 40.5 mm and a height of just 9.1 mm, the stainless steel case sits sleek and sophisticated on the wrist.
The galvanised, white silver-plated dial features subtle indexes at three, nine, and twelve o’clock, complemented by oxidised black hands. Its domed sapphire crystal ensures excellent legibility, while the sapphire crystal glass back reveals the finely finished movement within. Water-resistant to 5 atm, this model is paired with a woven, dark grey textile strap that is both waterproof and elegant, secured with a polished stainless steel winged clasp. Quick-change spring bars make swapping straps effortless, adding versatility to its modern design.
At its heart ticks the DUW 6101 calibre, the first Neomatik calibre with a date mechanism—large, yet wonderfully slender at only 3.6 mm in height. By placing the date ring around the movement, NOMOS ensures the display is exceptionally clear and highly legible. This automatic movement features 27 jewels, a diameter of 35.2 mm, and a power reserve of up to 42 hours. Equipped with the in-house NOMOS swing system for outstanding accuracy, the Metro Neomatik Update 1165 unites contemporary design with horological innovation, making it both a style icon and a technical achievement.
