The Tangente Neomatik 41 Update (Ref. 180) brings a clever new twist to the iconic NOMOS design. Its patented date ring circles the very edge of the dial, highlighted by two red markers that frame the current date with striking clarity. The galvanised, white silver-plated dial with oxidised black hands preserves the signature Tangente aesthetic—precise, minimalist, and unmistakably Glashütte—while presenting time and date in a fresh and distinctive way.
The watch is housed in a 40.5 mm stainless steel bipartite case with a slim 7.8 mm profile and sapphire crystal glass, anti-reflective on both sides. A sapphire crystal glass back reveals the in-house movement within, while the robust construction ensures 5 atm water resistance. The strap, crafted from Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan in black and fitted with a stainless steel winged clasp, completes this refined yet resilient timepiece.
At its heart is the DUW 6101 calibre, the first neomatik movement with a date mechanism. Extraordinarily slender at just 3.6 mm in height despite its wide diameter, this automatic movement allows for the extended date ring while ensuring excellent legibility. With 42 jewels, traditional Glashütte finishing, and a power reserve of up to 42 hours, the calibre combines precision, innovation, and craftsmanship—making Tangente Update a modern classic built for everyday life.
