'Blueberry' GMT SKX Re-interpretation 42.5mm Watch

The Seiko 5 Sports SSK003K1 ‘Blueberry’ GMT is a modern re-interpretation of the iconic SKX models first released in the 1990s. Those original SKX watches updated the reliability and durability of the 1960s classics, introducing improved practicality through enhanced water resistance, strengthened crystals, and luminous hands and hour markers. These wearable and much-loved qualities remain central to today’s Seiko 5 Sports designs.

Built for practical international timekeeping, the SSK003K1 features a bi-colour 24-hour bezel coated in Hardlex for added durability, paired with a GMT hand that enhances visibility and legibility. This clear layout allows multiple time zones to be read quickly and easily at a glance. Staying true to its SKX heritage, the distinctive “beads of rice” bracelet uses a five-piece link design that forms a series of small X-shaped patterns.

The hands and indices are finished with LumiBrite, Seiko’s fluorescent luminous paint that absorbs light energy and glows brighter and for longer in low-light conditions. Backed by over fifty years of Seiko 5 Sports heritage, the SSK003K1 reflects the collection’s renowned reliability, durability, performance and value. The name “5” represents the five defining features still present today: automatic movement, day-date display, water resistance, a recessed crown, and a durable case and bracelet.
