The Seiko 5 Sports SRPJ45K1 draws inspiration from Seiko’s archives, incorporating distinctive elements from the iconic 1970s “Time Sonar” watch within a familiar SKX case shape. This design-led timepiece blends vintage character with a modern update, celebrating Seiko’s heritage while delivering a bold and recognisable look.

The original Time Sonar was known for its eye-catching translucent dial, which revealed the rotation of the day and date discs, along with its standout red-orange seconds hand. These defining features are echoed in the SRPJ45K1, while the overall watch shape reflects the SKX series of Seiko 5 Sports models first introduced in the 1990s as updated versions of the 1960s originals.

Seiko 5 Sports has been trusted for over fifty years for reliability, durability, performance and value. The “5” represents the five key features still present in every Seiko 5 watch today: automatic movement, day-date display, water resistance, a recessed crown, and a durable case and bracelet.
