Drawing inspiration from key moments in Seiko’s history, this watch reinterprets heritage design with modern technical and aesthetic refinements, highlighted by refined gold-coloured accents that mark this important milestone.
This Craftsmanship model pays tribute to Seiko’s very first pocket watch, the Seikosha ‘Timekeeper’ launched in 1895, when the brand began manufacturing its own timepieces. Heritage details include a gold-coloured case with millegrain decoration, a distinctive onion-style crown, classic Roman numerals and elegant hands. Beneath box-shaped sapphire glass sits a warm white hand-enamelled dial with a soft, refined sheen, while the strap features moveable lugs and sustainably sourced, LWG-approved pull-through leather. Gold accents symbolise the achievements of Seiko’s founder, Kintaro Hattori.
Powered by an in-house built 6R51 automatic calibre, the SPB538J1 delivers reliable mechanical performance with an accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day and a three-day power reserve.
