The Seiko Presage SPB449J1 is a highly exclusive limited edition, restricted to just 500 pieces worldwide and created in collaboration with the Japanese menswear brand Porter Classic. Drawing inspiration from the 1913 Laurel – Seiko’s, and Japan’s, first-ever wristwatch – this timepiece blends historical significance with refined contemporary craftsmanship.

Porter Classic shares Seiko Presage’s commitment to preserving Japanese artistry while embracing modern technology and design. Finished with a super-hard coating, the case echoes the pocket-watch style of the original Laurel. Beneath a box-shaped sapphire crystal, the black enamel dial features a subdial at 6 o’clock, while the case back is engraved with the silhouette of Porter Classic co-founder Katsuyuki Yoshida.

Powered by the in-house 6R5H movement with a 72-hour power reserve and accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day, the SPB449J1 delivers dependable mechanical performance. It is paired with a slim black Cordovan leather strap and includes an additional brown Cordovan strap, all presented in a special black-stained Paulownia wooden box. True to Presage, it offers timeless style with precise Japanese mechanical watchmaking.
