The Seiko Presage SRPK48J1 is part of the Presage Cocktail Time collection, inspired by the Japanese tradition of “Nomunication hour” – a blend of nomu (drink) and communication enjoyed after 5pm, when cocktail hour begins and conversations flow. Each timepiece in the collection is named after drinks mixed by Hisashi Kishi, head bartender of Tokyo’s renowned Star Bar in the sophisticated Ginza district.
This model is inspired by the Half and Half cocktail, with a dial designed to resemble the view of the drink through a glass. Created by mixing Japanese ale and stout, the cocktail’s golden, creamy character is reflected in the warm-toned dial, capturing the full-bodied, rich and smooth flavours of the drink.
A striking gold-coloured case and bracelet complement the dial, while golden indices are paired with dauphine hands and a date display at 3 o’clock. The watch features a three-fold clasp with push-button release and a see-through exhibition case back. Measuring 40.5mm in diameter and 11.8mm in depth, the SRPK48J1 embodies timeless looks, precise mechanical timekeeping and a minimalistic, distinctly Japanese aesthetic.
