Men's 1965 Revival 3-Day Scuba Blue 300m Diver’s Watch

The SPB451J1 is a modern re-interpretation of Japan’s — and Seiko’s — very first Diver’s watch, originally released in 1965. That pioneering automatic timepiece marked the start of Seiko’s dedication to professional diving reliability, safety and performance. Its credentials were proven when it was worn by members of the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition between 1966 and 1969 on missions to the South Pole, demonstrating exceptional durability in extreme conditions.

For this latest revival, the iconic design has been refined with more sophisticated specifications, increased water resistance and an improved power reserve. Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case, the watch features a deep ‘scuba’ blue bezel and matching dial, framed by sapphire crystal glass. In line with professional ISO diving standards, the hands and indices are coated with Lumibrite for clear visibility, while the upright date display at 4.5 o’clock further enhances legibility. Comfort is improved through a slimmer 13mm case profile, short-pitch bracelet links and a shorter buckle for better wearability.

Powering the SPB451J1 is the in-house automatic 6R55 calibre, offering accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day and an impressive 72-hour power reserve. With 300m water resistance, this timepiece fully embodies the Prospex philosophy — a fusion of “Professional” and “Specifications” — delivering practical, reliable and durable performance for sports lovers and adventure seekers in the most demanding environments.
