The dial of the HBF002J1 is designed to evoke the journey of an oceanographic research ship cutting through ice, featuring a thick transparent coating polished to a deep, lustrous finish. Beneath a dual-curved sapphire crystal, the blue gradient dial offers a satin-finished, professional-grade texture engineered to reduce light reflection and enhance underwater visibility. Built for extreme diving conditions, it features strong Lumibrite for exceptional legibility, a unidirectional rotating bezel, ISO Diving standards compliance, a ceramic insert bezel, and a super-hard coating for superior scratch resistance. The streamlined case also includes a crown positioned at 4 o’clock for enhanced comfort.
Powered by Seiko’s highly capable 8L45 calibre, this Prospex diver delivers outstanding performance with an accuracy of +10/-5 seconds per day and an impressive 72-hour power reserve. Handcrafted at the renowned Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Japan’s Iwate prefecture, the movement is built for reliability, precision, and durability in extreme environments. Completing the design is a robust bracelet with a three-fold one-push sliding micro-adjustable clasp, while the caseback is engraved with “JAMSTEC LIMITED EDITION” and its unique limited edition number.
