The Seiko Presage Classic Series SPB523J1 is a refined expression of inherent Japanese elegance. Named ‘Fushi-iro’, this timepiece features a light brown dial inspired by a colour traditionally dyed with Shiba-ki during the Edo period. The dial texture draws from soft Japanese silk, a material long valued in Japanese home décor and clothing since ancient times, lending depth and subtle sophistication to the design.

Beneath dual-curved sapphire glass, the domed dial is complemented by gently curved hands and indices that evoke a vintage aesthetic while being carefully designed to maximise light reflection. With its compact 36mm case size, the SPB523J1 offers a balanced and elegant presence on the wrist, ideal for those who appreciate understated refinement.

Completing the design is a seven-piece multi-row bracelet inspired by 1970s retro metal watch bracelets, crafted to enhance comfort, flexibility and light interplay. At its heart, the in-house built Seiko 6R51 calibre delivers precise mechanical performance, accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day and supported by an impressive three-day 72-hour power reserve, staying true to the Seiko Presage philosophy of timeless design and precise Japanese mechanical timekeeping.
