Named ‘Ai-iro’, its rich indigo dial reflects a colour cherished during Japan’s Edo period and regarded as a lucky shade by Samurai warriors. Later known internationally as ‘Japan Blue’, this historic hue is paired with a dial texture inspired by soft silk, a material long admired in Japanese home décor and clothing for its refined appearance.

Protected by dual-curved sapphire glass, the domed open-heart dial features curved hands and indices that evoke a timeless vintage style while maximising light reflections. The open-heart display reveals the artistry within, adding depth and visual interest to the design. Complementing the dial, the seven-piece multi-row bracelet takes inspiration from 1970s retro metal watch bracelets, offering both elegant light reflection and exceptional comfort thanks to its short 6mm links.

Powered by an in-house built 6R55 automatic calibre, the SPB527J1 delivers precise mechanical timekeeping with an accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day and an impressive three-day 72-hour power reserve.
