The Seiko Presage SPB447J1 blends refined functionality with traditional Japanese aesthetics, combining the artistry of Urushi lacquering with the practicality of a GMT function to display multiple timezones at once. As the first Presage Craftsmanship timepiece to feature GMT, it represents a seamless balance between heritage craftsmanship and modern usability.
Beneath a dual-curve sapphire crystal, the deep black Urushi lacquer dial is created using a centuries-old technique traditionally found in fine decorative objects such as bowls and furniture. Gold-coloured GMT and second hands extend to the very edge of the dial, enhancing both elegance and legibility, while the rich finish gives each dial a unique character.
Completing the design, the SPB447J1 is paired with a brown calf leather strap featuring gold-coloured stitching to complement the hands. The strap is LWG sourced and certified from a Leather Working Group–certified tanner, supporting more sustainable leather production. Powered by the in-house 6R54 calibre, this timepiece tracks two timezones simultaneously, offers a 72-hour power reserve and delivers the timeless looks and precise mechanical timekeeping that define Seiko Presage.
