The SRPL53K1 is a Seiko Prospex diver’s watch created in collaboration with PADI – the Professional Association of Diving Instructors – the world’s most recognised diver training organisation. This special edition commemorates 60 years of Seiko’s heritage in diver’s watchmaking, celebrating a long-standing commitment to innovation, reliability and professional diving standards.
Evolved from a combination of two iconic Seiko designs, this compact diver blends the distinctive characteristics of the fan-nicknamed ‘Samurai’ and ‘Shōgun’. The angular case design takes the steeply angled lugs of the Shōgun and echoes the crown design of the Samurai, creating a bold yet refined silhouette. The green dial is inspired by the ocean as seen by a diver underwater, with sunlight pouring through the surface, reinforcing its connection to the marine environment.
Designed for comfort and everyday wear, the SRPL53K1 features a compact 41.7mm case with a slim profile, a practical date window at 4.5 o’clock, pointed hands, and a bracelet with press-formed integral links that complement the linear case design. Compliant with recognised ISO standards for professional diving watches, it offers water resistance to 200 metres.
