Limited Edition 1965 Fan-Selected Blue Heritage Diver's Watch

Celebrate 60 years of Seiko’s innovative and reliable diving watch heritage with the limited edition Seiko Prospex HBC011J1. Inspired by the original ‘62MAS’ 1965 Diver, Seiko’s first-ever Diver’s watch, this commemorative timepiece reflects a legacy built for reliability in the most demanding conditions. The original 1965 Diver was trusted by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition team and later worn by adventurers and explorers tackling extreme environments, including the North and South Poles and Mount Everest.

The HBC011J1 features the winning ‘Daytime’ design, selected by Seiko fans to represent the ever-changing colours of the sea as time moves from sunrise to sunset. Inspired by sunlight glimmering across the sea during the day, the watch features a vibrant blue dial with an embossed wave-like pattern, complemented by an aluminium bezel insert. A practical date display is positioned at 4.5 o’clock, adding everyday functionality to its distinctive diving-inspired design.

Powered by Seiko’s in-house 6R55 automatic calibre, the HBC011J1 delivers an accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day and a three-day power reserve. As a Prospex Air Diver, it is water resistant up to 300m and designed around Seiko’s commitment to practical, reliable and durable timepieces. Combining a historic design influence with modern mechanical performance, the HBC011J1 is a limited edition created to mark six decades of Seiko diving watch expertise and appeal to sports lovers, adventure seekers and Seiko enthusiasts alike.
