Men's 'Heritage Motoring' Powder Blue Countdown Speedtimer Watch

The HBC003J1 features a compact 39.5 mm case with a flowing shape inspired by the iconic Seiko “Panda” design of 1972. Finished with a super-hard coating and topped with curved sapphire crystal, the watch is designed for both durability and everyday comfort. Beneath the crystal, the light blue dial is framed by a countdown timer inner ring, while Lumibrite on the inner-ring reference triangle provides excellent legibility. A date display at 4:30 adds practical functionality while maintaining the balanced vintage-inspired appearance.

Powering the Seiko Prospex HBC003J1 is Seiko’s in-house 6R55 automatic calibre, offering an impressive 72-hour power reserve, advanced shock protection and an accuracy of −15/+25 seconds per day. With 200 metres of water resistance, sapphire crystal and a robust automatic movement, the HBC003J1 embodies the Prospex philosophy. The name “Prospex” combines “Professional” and “Specifications,” reflecting Seiko’s commitment to creating practical, reliable and durable timepieces for sports, adventure and demanding environments.

First introduced in 1969, the Speedtimer marked a major milestone in Seiko’s watchmaking heritage. The original Speedtimer was the world’s first automatic chronograph equipped with both a vertical clutch and column wheel, setting a new technical standard for high-performance mechanical chronographs. The Seiko Prospex HBC003J1 draws on this celebrated heritage, combining Seiko’s historic design language with a distinctly neo-classic aesthetic inspired by the sports cars of the 1970s, known as “young-timers.”
